Tropical Cyclone Mocha, Myanmar, Bangladesh and IndiaTropical cyclone Mocha crossed the coast between Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh and Kyaukpyu township in Myanmar on 14 May 2023, bringing winds of 250 km/h, heavy rain and storm surge. The cyclone caused widespread damage and triggered evacuations in multiple regions of Myanmar, Bangladesh and India. Five people reportedly died in Myanmar and hundreds were injured.
