Eastern China, Early May 2023Floods and landslides were reported in provinces of eastern China after heavy rain in early May 2023. Fujian Province Four officials from Xinluo district, Longyan City in Fujian province were reported missing after a bridge collapsed on 07 May. Jiangxi Province 497,000 people in Jiangxi Province were affected by floods and severe weather from 05 to 08 May 2023. 14,000 people were evacuated from cities, including Fuzhou, Ji'an, and Yichun. Wide areas of crops were reported damaged.
