La Réunion, France - Severe weather (ECHO 27 Jan 2023)

Since 26 January, several municipalities in La Réunion have been affected by strong winds and heavy rainfall, related to a low-pressure system in the area.
The north and east of the Islands have been impacted by floods, several families have been evacuated, and houses have been flooded. Emergency services performed numerous rescue interventions, including one in Sainte-Marie Municipality. Teaching was suspended in the Municipalities of Sainte-Rose, Saint-Benoît, and Ste Suzanne.
Light to moderate rainfall is expected over La Réunion on 27-28 January.
